Potager Restaurant strives to decrease its mark on the environment. We believe in simple cooking, simple eating, and simple living. It's never been about what the trends are; to us it's about doing what's right.

We grow vegetables and herbs in a garden behind the restaurant, we buy ALL of our food from May through December from local farmers, we preserve food for the winter and we make everything from scratch. We believe that living a life and running a business that cares about the community, our health, and our planet are important enough to do everyday.

Kanaloa Seafood is the company we use to purchase fresh fish.  It is the only company in the United States with ISO 14001 certification.  This is a certificate given to companies that are dedicated to operating in an environmentally sustainable manner. The ISO is the world's most recognized environmental management system.

Potager is partially powered by wind power through Excel Energy.

We recycle all of our glass, plastics, and paper through Waste Management Company.

We use 100% recycled paper products from Eco Products and Green Home.

We send our corks to Yemm & Hart; a company that uses recycled cork to make          building tiles.
We compost anything that is compostable here at Potager and with a local farm.

Our large picture windows minimize the use of electricity in the day and at night.

Water is provided to guests only when requested.
